These are a few of my favorite things: the Ioana Ciolacu DRESS

Autumn and spring, this dress by Romanian designer Ioana Ciolacu, fallen autumn leaves, the magnolia trees in bloom on Str. Dumbrava Roşie (Bucharest)these are a few of my favorite things. I find many similarities between autumn and spring, especially when it comes to the outfits you can create. Both seasons mark new beginnings, each in its different way. Also, there are those perfect spring and/or autumn days when the temperature is perfect and you take long walks to admire the colors nature has to offer. When it comes to fall, it’s about the falling leaves and the nostalgia coming along with the spectacle of death announcing a frozen and tough hibernation to come. In spring, there is that special feeling of relief: winter is finally over. The cycle on nature has reached once again its stage of  blissful rebirth. Flowers everywhere, vibrant pink and yellow and green. In autumn nature sheds its summer skin, while in spring we shed our thickened skin and its layers of [useless] clothing.

These are just one of the few reasons we are now introducing this editorial we made in Spring 2017. The pictures were taken for a feature in the Romanian magazine Beau Monde which appeared in their May-July 2017 printed issue. I am very thankful to Roxana Dobriță for including in a section called Rebels & Rule Breakers. You can see the final result in the image above.

We remained wondering when it would be suitable to post the editorial online, because we thought it would be a shame for the pictures to be forgotten in a folder on a computer.

The time is NOW and it is as suitable as any. You know: better late than never. Imagine adding a red woolen coat to the styling and it instantly becomes an actual Fall 2017 outfit suggestion.
